Occasionally students will send emails and letter to let us know about how they feel about learning kung fu at the Academy of Ving Tsun.  The following are some of the kind words that we have received.  Enjoy!

I joined the Academy of Ving Tsun about 3 months ago. I have had no previous martial arts experience. My training has had an immediate positive impact. I have an increased level of fitness and I have greatly improved my work-life & home-life balance. I am looking forward to even more positive benefits as I continue to pursue my training. The more I have put into it, the more I have benefited. It has also been great to welcome the new students to the Academy of Ving Tsun.  - Dave M.

Ving Tsun has given me the opportunity to develop confidence, not only in fighting or self-defense applications, but in all the aspects of life. Matt J.

Dear Seafoo, I love learning kung fu! Jacklyn (age 9)

They (grandchildren) love it keep up the good work. Lots of luck. Pappy Nolan

Sifu: I appreciate your call on Tuesday; you really make me feel welcome and a part of something bigger; See you soon HUMBERSON

Sifu, This is your new student Chris. I just wanted to write to you to thank you so very much for giving me your time in answering all of my kung fu questions. I found my visit to be very enlightening. I am very eager to start my training and would like to know when I would be able to start. Again, thank you so much for your time and I look forward to training. -Chris

Thanks Sifu! I think you are doing a great job. I also think your advanced students (especially Dave and Chris) also make attending class very enjoyable and a great learning experience. I do look forward to class and I feel my whole well-being improving as a result of the class, not only mentally from the stress reduction, but physically too. I find that my learning experience is much more than just a class or a periodic diversion. I feel like for our class is becoming an important part of my life. It helps too that my wife encourages me to attend… for my personal (physical and mental) benefits. Thanks for your encouragement. Regards, Gene

Sifu, Just a quick note of thanks for spending the time with me that you did. I didn't feel rushed. Also, I was impressed that you allowed me to "try things out on you". That's almost unheard of if you visit a school. On that same note, the fact that you COULD show me things without much effort, or space, but with much efficiency, was a window to your art. Another 'flashy style' school instructor would most likely have had to clear a space on the floor, etc. Like I say, it was, to me, a window into the efficiency of your art. What's weird is, just after seeing you demonstrate on me what you did, I have an odd, heightened confidence now. And I haven't even started learning it yet. Very odd. I'm hoping that's my belief in the principals coming through. Anyway, thanks again. I'm looking forward to next Saturday. Joe

Sifu Dale, This is just a note to personally re-emphasize my enjoyment and interest of having become your student in Ving Tsun Kung Fu. I would like to attend three days every week to accelerate my learning. I'll also look forward to "field trips" like the one to Philadelphia. I am beginning to understand that to be truly effective in this art/science/philosophy/discipline, one needs to learn realization and peace. Maybe the need for it will help me to learn and develop that within me. I have taken pride throughout my life with "body control." But I've learned at your academy that there is one group of muscles I cannot seem to "reach" and make relax. Those are the muscles and groups of muscles in my upper back and back of my neck. I can "visualize and induce" relaxation almost everywhere else. I've told you this only because the lesson came to me at your academy yesterday (along with failing to maintain breathing), and maybe recognition will lead to the solution for me and others. Ving Tsun already appears to me to be something in which a person can spend his entire life learning- and also be worthy of the time and focus. I look forward to continued learning and getting to know everyone (and have some laughs along the way too). Mike

Sifu Dale,  Training at the Academy of Ving Tsun has helped me out a lot with my health and well being.  I feel very welcomed and comfortable training at the Academy.  I also enjoy all of the people at the school.  I always wanted to train in the martial arts and finally I have my chance.  - Tom
